A very good investment piece at $9,500. The artist has sold paintings in the $20,000 range. This is a very large painting and is a great investment for the future.Vance A. Larson (1951- )Vance A. Larson is a world-renowned artist of abstract epressionism with a little hint of Naive and Da Da art.Born in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1951, Larson was raised in Minnesota where he was first introduced to Native American cultures. He later moved to New England and studied at Paier School of Art in New Haven. He then returned to Minnesota, completing his studies at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.Larson spent his early career in pastel and charcoal portraiture in New Orleans and throughout the US, then moved to Southern California where his work evolved into dreamlike abstract pastels of soft yet vivid colors.Eventually, however, Larson's deep love and respect for Native American and other aboriginal cultures led him to add petroglyph and primitive art to his works, and to make his house in the Southwest. He now resides in Cave Creek, Arizona. Many of Larson's paintings can be viewed in the lobbies of prestigious office buildings, museums, and fine art galleries throughout the world. He has won numerous art awards, and his artwork has appeared prominently in national media too numerous to mention. « Less

By the age of the wood on the stretcher and the back of the canvas, I figure this painting is from the mid-20th Century. 1950-Mid 60's. It measures 16" X 20" and depicts a Impressionistic View of a Nude Beach. In the lower right hand corner this painting is signed Rawdon. On the back of the stretcher is the word Goggin painted twice and there is a partial paper label from an exhibit. I also found written in pencil "#2". Although I could not find listed many artists named Rawdon, I am not able to identify the Rawdon that did this painting. At the bottom of the painting, right in the middle, is a 1 1/2" line crack in the paint, but the canvas is not separated. There are no other problems or repairs. The previous owner added a 20" X 24" Solid Oak Frame sometimes in the past few years. « Less

Draum (Dream) by Ida Teichmann (German, b. 1875 - ), original lithograph on rice paper, circa 1910, artist signed in lower right margin. Condition: two very minor spots of foxing (not affecting the figures) and some mat burn outside of the image area. Newly matted and framed. Ida Teichmann was a female German artist known for her drawings and lithograph portrayals of adolescent girls and young children. Teichmann was born in Frankfurt am Main and was largely self-taught as an artist. She sought to capture the essence of the adolescent form. Her works show direct influence in their style from the painters of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood in England. All of her lithographs were engraved directly onto the stone by the artist and then printed by her in very small editions, so that each was produced entirely by Teichmann, and therefore a true original. She used a fine rice paper for the prints, because it more faithfully reproduced the fine lines and shading of her drawings. Size of image: 6.5" x 12". Included in the sale of this print is a German newsprint review of the artist's work, dating from 1918, that includes this image as well as others by Teichmann. « Less

This is an original one of a kind oil painting guaranteed from the hand of the master painter Bob Byerley. While not yet on a par with Kansas City''s other great artist Thomas Hart Benton he is headed there. This is a great chance to own a original piece of art by an American master. Bob Byerley is a master of Trompe l''oeil. Trompe l''oeil, means simply ''to deceive the eye''. Bob has been a master of this for years and most of his paintings have parts you swear are real or just about to move. They are so realistic they deceive the eye. This piece is not titled but was supposed to be of his first wife. Absolutely guaranteed a true oil painting by Bob Byerley. Great subject matter. Sized at 11'' by 8.5'' in frame and 7.5'' by 5'' out. Excellent original condition. Status: For Sale Reference#: 123_2369 Condition: vg Year: 1978 « Less
