circa: 2000 width: 36 height: 34 length: 20 This beautiful yew chest was recently handmade in England as a replica of a Georgian period design. The yew, which is inlaid over the chest in an oyster pattern, displays an incredibly rich complexion as well as a striking grain, both of which are complemented beautifully by the English swan neck pulls. Circular ebony string inlay is also set into the yew oyster pattern, helping to create the beautiful overall appearance that makes this yew chest an incredible site to behold. This chest is also as useful as it is beautiful, with a traditionally antique two-over-three drawer design, while each of the drawers features hand-cut dovetails. The top two drawers also lock with an accompanying key. Shaped bracket feet provide sturdy support. As this yew chest is handmade by a third-generation English cabinetmaker, it is extremely sturdy and will endure for generations to come, so this chest is a real investment.
