Chinese Lacquered Storage Box. Black; red; green; brown; orange; gold. Wood; lacquer; brass; cloth; gold leaf. This lacquered and gold-leafed, 19th century box has a scene with a male and female figure on the front. The top, back and sides are decorated with stylized red designs. The front has a one-pronged, brass latch. It is signed on the bottom.
