Antique 15K Gold Cannetille Brooch Circa. 1820 British. Memorial Brooch with original safety catch: note the white hair. 4 natural cushion-cut rubies with total approximate weight of .75 carats. Rubies tested with refractive index liquid. Exceptional filigree work. Cannetille is a type of decoration on jewelry in the form of thin wires making a coarse filigree patern, sometimes enhanced with gemstones. This brooch measures 1.50 inches high, 1 inch wide and .25 inch deep. 8.3 gr. 5.3 dwt. In excellent condition.
