Victorian, circa 1870 Majolica performing lion figure. Standing on rectangular plinth base with mottled glazes on top and pink glaze around the edge. One front paw resting on a pink ball, tail swishing across its side. Light brown glaze underneath the base with three stilt marks. Good. No restoration. No hairlines. Kiln effects: firing pit to reverse of base; small piece of kiln detritus to nose. Restored chips around the lower base edge. Repair to front legs and under feet of hind legs. Two restored flakes to paw on ball. Restoration of all four teeth. 9.25ins high, 14.5ins wide
