Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire seated black and white Disraeli spaniels, each with one front leg molded free. Disraeli curls to forehead. Pale peach noses. Dull gilt collar, locket and chain. Decorated all round. Vent hole to reverse and underside. Generally good. Rubbing to gilt. Right facing: small, shallow chip to underside. Kiln effect: thin glaze application to left ear; light crazing in places. Repaired crack between top of front legs, which goes up onto chest. Repair to front left paw. Retouching to eyes, nose and front right paw. Left facing: two flakes to left ear and another to chain. Kiln effects: craze lines above free molded leg; piece of kiln detritus to reverse. Restored bruise to reverse. Retouching to eyes, nose, right ear and paws. 10ins high
