Victorian, circa 1870 Staffordshire tureen and cover in the form of a duck on water. The cover is modeled in the form of a duck, and the tureen the water. Gilt decoration to the duck feathers. Vent hole and a painted gilt mark to underside of cover. Good. Duck: Some rubbing to gilt. Kiln effect: shrinkage crack across the end of one wing. Restoration to beak. Restoration to end of wings. Tureen: Small chip to underside. Kiln effect: two overglazed manufacture chips to rim. Repaired crack across the front. 5.5ins high, 9ins long
