Victorian, circa 1860 Staffordshire inkwell modeled as a spaniel with two pups. The adult dog carries a basket of flowers in it''s mouth. Cobalt base with two quill holes. Dull gilt decoration and base line. Good. No restoration. Small chip to bottom of basket. Rubbing to gilt. Kiln effects: shrinkage line along the mold join to one pup''s and adult dog''s head; kiln soot caught in the glaze to front and reverse. 6.5ins high
