Victorian, circa 1880 Majolica teapot modeled as one large fish swallowing a smaller fish. Cream interior and base. Three stilt marks to base. Steam hole to cover. Similar piece illustrated on page 138, Abrams ''Majolica A complete History and illustrated Survey'' by Karmason & Stacke. Generally good. No cracks. No hairlines. Some small flakes to rim of teapot. Slight wear to exterior and tips of tail fins. Over glazed manufacture chip to finial. Restored chips and flaking to spout. Retouched flakes to rim of teapot. No restoration to cover. 6ins high, 11.5ins wide
