Victorian, circa 1880 Majolica basket in the form of a tree with two bird''s nests and eggs. Exterior is decorated with green leaves on brown bark ground. Pink interior. Gray underside with a painted mark. Similar piece illustrated p.10 ''The Collector''s Encyclopedia of MAJOLICA'' Collector Books, by Mariann Katz-Marks. Generally good. No cracks. Kiln effects: shrinkage line to rim (visible on interior only); crazing to interior. Restored chip to branch at one end of handle. 8.25ins high, 9.25ins wide
