Victorian, date cipher for 1883 Wedgwood Majolica Argenta grape and strawberry plate. Brown, pink and ochre glazes on cream ground. Shaped, branch molded rim. Cream reverse with three stilt marks. Impressed maker''s marks ''WEDGWOOD'' and date cipher ''HML'' for 1883 inside the foot. Generally good. No restoration. No cracks. Very tight hairline to rim. No flakes. Slight wear to the front. Kiln effect: over glazed manufacture chip to the rim. 8.75ins diameter
