Price: $6900.00
Circa 1902. American quarter sawn oak tall case clock. Fresh to the market , this fine example of American long case clock making, although unsigned has all the details found in the best clocks of the period. It's case looks very similar to the clocks of the Durfee Clock Co. and other well regarded American makers. All quarter sawn oak in excellent original finish, this clock has a "broken pediment" top with finely turned finials and an applied "necklace" of beads, fluted columns with ionic capitals and original brass key holes and keys. The sound on the hours has a wonderful deep tone. On the front of this grandfather clock is a bronze presentation plaque that reads " George (?) Robinson as a token of loving affection on his seventieth birthday, June 14th 1902". Complete and original, good working condition and beautiful all original case in very fine original finish, we will have the works cleaned and serviced before delivery. 100" tall x 20" wide x 14" deep.
