Very unique original green patinated bronze state by French artist Pierre LaFaguays. 3 men holding up urn on black Belgium marble base. The style is very theatrical with a point of view maybe styled as marquette for an important exposition. The detail of the 3 men is quite good and the style of the piece takes to around 1925-1930. It is in original condition with no restoration and piece shows some original wear and details.Le Faguays was born in Nantes, France and became famous for the originality and grace he gave his dancers, many of which were inspired by the statues of Tanagra. He was awarded a medal of honor for his work in 1927. His best friend, Max Le Verrier (of the Le Verrier Foundry) made most of (if not all of) his pieces.Measurements:9" T X 6" W
