Exceptional, vintage, marquetry inlaid wood, Swiss works, music box. I am not sure of the connection, but this fine cylinder music box, plays The Harry Lime Theme by the composer Anton Karas from the 1949 movie, "The Third Man", which re-united both the stars and director of "Citizen Kane". The marquetry is of an estate with a large and looming mansion in the distance which I thought might be the "Xanadu" of "Citizen Kane". In any case, this beautiful box is in "like new" original condition with fancy burl around the sides, small ebonized feet and original brass "piano" hinge. The musical works are marked "Lador" Switzerland. All original excellent working condition. 6" wide x 4" deep x 2 1/2" tall.
