An English humidor, likely Ridgways, late 1800's or very early 1900's. There is a picture of a ship titled Three Brothers on one side with a sailing proverb on the other. The proverb reads "The hardy sailor braves the ocean fearless of the roaring wind yet his heart with soft emotion throbs to leave his love behind". The Three Brothers clipper ship scene comes directly from a Currier & Ives painting done in 1875 which is now housed in The Library of Congress. Excellent condition, stands 4 1/4" w/o lid and the top opening is 4 3/4". The rim and handle are brass. Note the star pattern below the top rim. No maker marks.
