This item has been SOLD. A good quality, Jade hilted dagger with a somewhat Pesh Kabiz form. The well made steel blade is recurved with a pronounced fuller and has a small medial ridge along the back. The hilt is brass with jade inlaid plaques. There are small frits and slight wear to the jade at the edge of one side of the hilt. While there is the usual slight abrasion to the surface of the blade there is no rust or damage. A very good quality piece with an unusual hilt. Late 19th to early 20th C. Overall 14.5", blade 10.25". ex. Butterfield and Butterfield 1998.
