This whimsical piece was created in 1981 by well-known British artist and author Patrick Hughes (British, b. 1939). Among his influences were Paul Klee and the Surrealist Rene Magritte, and he is most famous for a style and concept he calls "reverspective", or reverse perspective. As an author, Hughes has written three books on visual and verbal rhetoric. Number 45 of an edition of 225, pencil signed and dated lower right. Measurements below are image size.
