The first artist to work with Georg Jensen was the painter Johan Rohde, who around 1906 ordered some hollowware of his own design for his freshly built home. For the next two years a lifelong association began. In 1915 Rohde designed 'Acorn', which with its unique combination of delicate lines and powerful ornamentation quickly became world famous. 'Acorn' became the silver cutlery service with the greatest number of different pieces (226 in all) produced by the Georg Jensen Silversmithy. The lemon fork measures in length: 5 3/4". Impressed marks: Sterling, Denmark, GJ/Georg Jensen.
