A fine cabbage leaf jug showing the Pinecone pattern in underglazed blue. This was the Coalport style of the earlier Caughley jugs. An open crescent mark to the base. This jug is in superb condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There are two small firing faults to the lower handle where the handle joins the body and has shrunk away during firing. These can only be seen when you turn the jug upside down. It measures 150mm high x 140mm overall including handle.
