Superb 19th century antique bronze sculpture of a nude lady with an owl depicting night. This model was also made depicting day. The one depicting night has an owl at the base and a star at the top. The sculpture portrays a beautiful nude lady with long flowing hair holding a shawl in her hand tied loosely around her waist. She seems to be in flight floating in the sky above the owl. This is the most beautiful rendition of night in a sculptured bronze you might ever hope to find. It is not signed anywhere that we can see. However the quality far surpasses the most bronzes signed or not. The bronze measures 13-1/4 inches to the top of the star on its rouge marble base. Not including the base she measures 10-1/2 inches to the top of her star. From her toe to her elbow she measures 8-1/2 inches.
