This necklace is made of Chrome and Red Galalith. Jakob Bengel was producing jewelry for the fashion industry in the early 1930's. After producing jewelry for other comapanies, he began to produce jewelry under his own name. Thus Jakob Bengel and his wife were introduced to art history as the premeire makers of unique art deco jewelry at that time. His work is illustrated in the book Jakob Bengel Art Deco Jewelry.
