Pair of beautiful antique artist signed painting on porcelain plaques. Please see close ups to read artist signed in the lower right. Each plaque is beautifully painted depicting a man and woman in 18th century dress. One plaque depicts a beautiful lady and handsome gentlemen wearing fin 18th century clothing. The other plaque may be her maid servant since she's wearing an apron and a gentlemen leaning forward to whisper in her ear. He is not dressed quit as formally as the gentleman in the other plaque. These were obviously painted as a pair to show that royalty and servants are both interested in the same things. Both paintings are very lifelike and beautifully painted. The plaques measure 9-7/8 inches high by 6 inches wide. The frame size is 12-1/4 inches high by 8-1/2 inches wide. Both plaques are perfect. One of the frames is missing a raised portion of golden decoration on its right side which can be seen in photos. Guaranteed to please as are all our items.
