Antique pre-owned Whiting sterling silver bachelor tea set. The model number is 4789. Each piece is marked with the Whiting symbol of a lion with a W in a shield and numbered 4789. The set is in good pre-owned condition showing normal wear commensurate with age and use. The set has its original wood handle and wood finial at the top of the tea pot. The wood finial spins loosely it could be glued to make stationary but it is in original condition as we bought it. The top of the teapot lid could be adjusted to close tightly it is slightly off. The tea pot measures 8 inches from the pouring spout to the back of the handle. It measures 5-1/2 inches to the top of the finial. Widest width 3 inches. The sugar bowl measures 5-5/8 inches from handle tip to handle tip. Height 3-1/8 inches. Widest width 2-1/2 inches. The creamer measures 4 inches from the pouring spout to the back of the handle tip.
