Early 20th century - This elegant Agra carpet displays a classic Herati design in tones of cocoa, taupe, and cinnamon. While there is no medallion, there are cornerpieces, but their coloration allows them to remain discreet within the allover design. The border contains similar forms, but it achieves just the necessary touch of contrast against the field by virtue of its warmer ground color.
