This Incredible Pair of Large French Chenets are in Excellent Overall Condition,c.early 19th century. Featuring Large impressive chenets of scrolled black iron atop gilded lion’s feet. The bases of the chenets are accentuated by decorative gilt festooning, a central cartouche and masks. The bases are surmounted by black iron spheres resting on scrolled and beaded supports. The globes are highlighted by gilt palm leaves and fleur-de-lis, representative of the House of Bourbon and the French Monarchy. Topped by gadrooning and a symbolic flame.
