This English “S. Withers & Co.” Safe is in Excellent Overall Condition,c1880. S.Withers Company of safe makers was founded in 1855 in West Bromwich, England, a town near Birmingham. The company was in business up to the 1960’s and remained a family owned and operated up to its close. Withers was a prolific producer of safes and had a distinctive trademark that is included on the safe. Measuring 24 1/2”D x 25”W x 36”H, the iron safe is functional and fabulous for collectors.
