This Unusual Educa multiple-view Stereoscope in Walnut is in Excellent Condition, c1930. Manufactured under the Unis label by French maker A. Mattey. This model retains 33 of the original 42 multiple-image glass plates of scenes throughout France. It is likely that the original plates were the only glass plates produced in this format, and that this viewer model was intended for a school use. Mattey produced stereoscope viewers under several trademarks, with UNIS being a better grade of viewer. This model of viewer can be seen in “Stereoscopes: The First One Hundred Years” by Paul Wing, page 204. Measuring 8” D x 10 1/2”W x 18”H .
