Vintage Hickory Golf Club Iron. Golf Club mid iron by Gibson of Kinghorn, Fife. Gibson used his 'deep struck star' cleek mark from around 1920's, although he had been using a star since he began his business in the 1890's. The club bears the name H.Logans the GENII model. Hugh Logan was born in Preswick 1880 and was a highly regarded club designer and maker. He designed the GENII irons whilst sharing his duties between Frank A. Johnson's company and Wimbledon Golf Club. Logan served in a number of capacities during his life. He started out working for the Prestwick professional, Charles Hunter, was professional at London Scottish GC, Wimbledon, Whitecraigs GC, Glasgow, Hainault Forest GC, London and worked for several manufacturing companies. The club has a hickory shaft, leather grip and also has the retail mark of W.H.Tisdall Ltd., New Zealand.
