Wood, dark brown encrusted patina, a male and a female figure in nearly identical posture, closely wrapped in cloth bandages, just the faces left free, showing concave vaulted face, eyes with inserted red miniature glass beads.
These statues were believed to protect its owners. The figures were carved from hard wood then carefully wrapped around with strips of cloth saturated with magical liquid by the village spiritualist.
Slight traces of abrasion, minor damage, on metal base.
H: 35 cm (13 ¾ inch) and 35,5 cm (14 inch).
