Here is a very beautiful late 18th century Dutch Frisian stoneware inkstand profusely stamped with decorative punches, intricate open work and dated “1797“!
The owner’s initials “IK” appear on each side of the date. No cracks chips or restorations. What appears to be minor glaze losses is actually under glazing during manufacture. A better 18th century Dutch inkstand would be very difficult to find. Beautiful green glaze and awesome decorations! Approximately 5 ½” x 6” x 2 ½” tall.
