A very rare mid 18th century earthenware stovetile bearing the royal cipher and motto “Semper Talis” (always faithful). 8” x 9” and in excellent condition with no restorations or repairs. Silver/ black glaze was mirror reflective when new. Made for a the stove in a government building or military headquarters. A very rare find and a great go-with for the 18th century arms or military collection!
