Here is a very nice and large, about 11” tall case bottle (sometimes referred to as a case gin) with a pale amethyst tint. It is a nice early one, non lead glass, with straight sides and pontil scar on base. It is blown by the German half-post method (2 gathers of glass) and has a string-rim laid on lip. It is in perfect condition but has some light inner stain. There is an interesting swirled bubble in the base. American or German manufacture. Large impressive early bottle!
We have taken photos of it in sunlight and with flash so you can see the variances in color.
