Two Matching Antique Pendant Lights by Macbeth Evans Glass Co., c. 1929 NC773 - For Sale

Two Matching Antique Pendant Lights by Macbeth Evans Glass Co., c. 1929 NC773
Price: $275.00
These are two matching antique pendant lights with unusual globes, made by Macbeth Evans Glass Company. Designer H. H. Blau filed a patent for these “inclosing globe” lights in 1929 (you can see a copy of the patent at http://www.freepatentsonline.com/1778305.pdf), and the shades are signed with the patent number. According to the patent, these pendants were designed to have a similar look to inverted dome chandeliers, but are completely enclosed to keep them clean inside. The fixtures feature a shade with a clear top and a translucent, bowl-shaped lower portion, supported by a sleek shade holder and canopy. These light fixtures are in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandeliers have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Each pendant measures 16” wide and 16” tall (body only) and 39” long overall. THE PRICE LISTED IS FOR EACH PENDANT; THERE ARE TWO AVAILABLE.
