Wonderful one of a kind item.Box is covered on all sides and top with what appears to be circus posters of the period. The front is of particular interest as it depicts a circus parade. The inside of the box is lined front, back and top with newspapers dated 1851,origin Boston.Colors are overall faded and there is considerable wear.Overall the box is fair to good condition relative to age nevertheless still a fine example of americana. There are 2 small brass replacement hinges, there remains portions of the original leather hinges.L:13,W:10",H:10"
