A magnificent antique figural eight-light chandelier in cast bronze, dating from the 1930’s and featuring a double-headed eagle. This Colonial Revival chandelier begins with an acanthus loop finial atop a splendid two-headed eagle with outspread wings. Below, the chandelier features a baluster-shaped body ending in a large bronze orb with a foliate loop. Eight S-curved chandelier arms extend from the center of the chandelier, ornamented with volutes and wing-like acanthus leaves. Each arm ends in a simple bobeche with a stepped wax pan. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 27” wide and 23” tall, and the fixture is 38” long overall.
