UNIQUE FORM AND FUNCTION!
This is a very rare, unique, solid wood, piano chair by the Charles Parker Co., of Meriden, Connecticut. According to the Meriden Historical Society this is thought to be Style 1180 from the Charles Parker Co. 1911 catalog.
Unlike most piano stools, this has a straight ladder like back and is an actual chair, not just stool. Exact wood is unknown, but possibly cherry or maple. Solid wood button trim adorns the edge of the seat and back panels.
If you're a piano player looking for a one of a kind seat, this is it. A real conversation piece and piece of history.
CONDITION: Excellent. There are no major scratches, gouges or dents in the wood, however, there is some minor wear to the finish on the front below the seat. The finish is in incredible condition, considering it is over 100 yrs. old.
MEASUREMENTS: 42" tall to top of the chair back. Back width is 10.5". The seat diameter is 14" and depth is 16".
