Rare Amstel teapot, of rounded form with high collar, the knop and handle with moulded details picked out in gold, painted with scattered sprigs of purple flowers, the lower portion with similar sprigs within gilt petal shaped enclosures.

References: This scarcely seen porcelain was made 1784-1820, and was the continuation of the factory at Weesp, closed in 1771, which was transferred to Oude Loosdrecht in 1772, and finally Amstel in 1784.
