Remarkable porcelain desk set, with two scallop shell vessels and an overhead red coral handle, one shell fitted as an ink well, with a protruding quill holder to either side, the interiors painted pink, the exteriors with gilt dashes, on a grassy mound base.
Unmarked, attributed to Gardner of Moscow,

References: Bears a close similarity to Gardner tea & coffee services with coral, and the paste is consistent with mid 19th century Gardner. The painting matches the bases of Gardner figures, and the gilt work is typical heavy Russian.
