Very rare Original Hoosier style cabinet manufactured by Hoosier Furniture Company. This company produced a limited output of rustic furniture. These cabinets are difficult to find in any condition but this one is outstanding. This handcrafted 2 piece appears to be made of solid oak and finished in golden oak. It is the essence of elegant country charm and function. This fully equipped cabinet has many features and extras including a pullout (wood) worktop used in the early models to add workspace, flour bin with sifter, a door rack mounted on inside of door, a shelf with utility rack, time table card, weight and measurement card, kitchen accessory card, menu card, pull down tambour door and shelf on the inside for storing baked goods. The original Hoosier metal plate to signify the manufacturer. There is also a hand written notation on the flour label "Flour Feb 10th 1934", so we believe this unit was made prior to that date. Flour bin, cookbook holder, spice rack on right door, bread box in center, hidden worktop, 3 lower storage drawers, and 1 storage door on lower left with metal slotted shelf and basket on the door. 2 center doors, left center door cookbook holder and flour sifter, right center door spice rack, bread box removable top. Pull down tambour door and additional storage space that can be used for cookie sheets pots and pans. This is an incredible find at a reasonable price.

CONDITION: Cabinet is in excellent condition and was well cared for. Finish appears to be original and has minor surface marks throughout as you would except on any Hoosier cabinet of this age that was used. The small imperfections only enhance its beauty. There is a little weathering on the top of the unit near the Hoosier plate as indicated in the photo. It doesn’t appear to have any major flaws just age and gentle use.

Shelves are all in tact, racks, pulls and handles are in good shape. Doors open and close and the unit is completely operational. On one of the shelves on the right there are a few stains inside as you will see in the photo. Construction is very solid on this piece and the condition is amazing. This Hoosier cabinet will flavor your kitchen with the warmth of an era gone by in addition to providing a great conversation piece.

MEASUREMENTS: 70 ¼" floor to top of hutch. Top hutch 38" tall x 44 ½" wide. Lower section 47" long x 22 ¾" deep x 31 ½" tall. Bread Box 19 ½" wide x 11 ½"
