As popularity and demand increased, Red Wing advanced to an assembly line format and Bristol glaze wares. In the early 1900's they had the largest pottery company in the United States. Around the 1930's a salesman, George Rumrill, made a deal with Red Wing where he would sell their pottery around the country but under his last name RumRill There are many pieces that are made by Red Wing but marked in this second name. (Throughout the businesses history a variety of different marks were used to indicate origin.
