Erotic jewelry box 19th century Japan
As a traditional Japanese inn, as illustrated by the attached photo, a rare musical jewelry box with an erotic secret.
A slider allows the roof to clear off a jewelry box.
A small drawer right side, once shot, triggers the music box and allows access to the winding system.
Typical of traditional Japanese architecture, the front of the piece has a shoji door made of translucent washi paper mounted on a wooden frame. The shoji sliding door to discover the hidden scene.
