LARGE CLASSIC MONMOUTH VASE
The Monmouth Pottery Company began in 1894 and was located in Monmouth, Illinois. They produced useful items like butter churns, crocks and jars. Their pieces were marked with a maple leaf & business name. In 1906, Monmouth was one of seven Midwestern companies that merged to create Western Stoneware.
This Monmouth Vase appears to be a classic design in a glazed vessel. The body is soft blue and it has two handles on the side. It has Grecian characterizes and is charming in simple elegance. This vase has the original paper label on it with the words, “Monmouth pottery will not leak”
This is in excellent condition there are no cracks, chips or repairs, Please see the photos.
