Antique 18th century large Turkish Ottoman Islamic dagger Khanjar - Jambiya with tapering double-edged blade with medial ridge, waisted large one-piece walrus grip, and original sheath encased in silver applied with openwork panels of foliage with bands of silver wire and beads at the throat, and single small suspension loop and ball finial.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length with the scabbard: 39.5 cm (15 1/2 inches).
CONDITION: The silver scabbard damaged with signs of old soldering, the hilt with age cracks (as common in these daggers) but hold very solid, blade with some wear and pitting overall. These are signs of age and usage, that can be expected from an over 200 year old combat dagger.
MEASUREMENTS: The overall length in the scabbard is approximately: 48 cm (18 7/8 in). The overall length without the scabbard is approximately: 41.3 cm (16 1/4 in).
