An elegant antique cast bronze entry doorknob set in Reading Hardware’s “Valence” design, c. 1900. The doorplates feature a sleek beveled border, with a circle at the top and bottom accented with acanthus leaves. The cast bronze knobs have an elegant repetition of the circle motif, also with a beveled border. This entry set includes a pair of doorknobs with the connecting spindle, a mortise lock with lock cylinder, and two doorplates. The larger door knob is 2-1/2” diameter and 2” deep; the smaller knob is 2-1/4” diameter and 2-1/8” deep. The lock has an approx. 2-3/4” backset, and its faceplate is 7-3/4” by 1-1/4”. The exterior doorplate is 12-3/4” by 3”, and the interior plate is 8-3/4” by 2-1/4”. A matching letter slot is also available, item # NLS9-RW.
