Dramatic antique large eight-light chandelier with original slag glass, dating from the early 1900's. This iron and bronze fixture works its way down from an understated canopy and chain to a unique loop finial and round bronze plate. Six long twisting rods connect the upper level with a lower round bronze band. The hammered bronze band features gorgeous floral and foliate details, and supports eight twisted chandelier arms with crenellated bobeches. The underside of the chandelier is striking with a pane of original amber slag glass forming the floor of the body's round band. This light fixture is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected flea bites around the edges. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body is 20-1/4" wide, 27" tall, and 40-1/2" long overall.
