A fantastic antique cast bronze “Broken Leaf” exterior door hardware set by Lockwood Manufacturing Company. Patented in 1886, this sought-after door hardware features an unusual asymmetrical design of a vase of flowers, surrounded by foliage with bent stems. This set features a decorative mortise lock with the matching double-keyhole door plate, rosette, thumb turn, and keyhole escutcheon. It was paired with a black porcelain (or “black jet”) doorknob with an unusual decorative shank. The door knob is 2-1/8” wide and 2” deep; the backplate is 6-15/16” by 1-3/4; the rose is approx. 2-1/6” in diameter; and the keyhole cover is 1-1/16” by 1-3/4”. The lock has a faceplate 6-3/4” long and 1-1/16” wide, with a 2-11/16” backset.
