This print, "The Bombardment and Capture of Fort Fisher, N.C. Jany 15th 1865," is a hand-colored lithograph on paper. It was published circa 1865 by Currier & Ives and is listed as Conningham 589. The image size is 7 15/16" x 12 3/8" making it a small folio. The margins are under 3/4". The image has very nice coloring with light toning and scattered foxing spots. The margin shows considerable tape edge repair and scattered foxing, especially in the lower right corner and right center. The print was de-acidified 6/22/03 with Weito Solution #2. It is framed in a period frame with acid-free backing.
