Massive pair of Chinese vases with Qialong mark on base. Possibly of the period but more likely about Dao Guang c1840. The pair towers a whopping 22'' tall and 8'' thick each. Incredible detail on the Ho Ho birds or pheonixes. Quality work and a pair of fine examples. Includes certificate of authenticy from the ''Far East Antiques and Curios Collectors Association'' from 1978 guaranteeing the age to be over 100 years at that time. Nice provenance and a accurate statement. No damage only the most minor of wear and a few scattered glaze flecks as normal for this period.
