This is a lovely French handpainted silk lingerie holder that has been custom framed to create a work of art. The gold metal frame measures 18'' high by 15'' wide. This includes a 4'' border of vintage printed French ribbon with a rose pattern. There is a vintage gold braided filet. The piece was put together by Venetia Thompson for Nightingale Antiques in 1990. It was a display piece in my now closed antiques store. I just love the charming little birds and dogwood flowers in the painting which is in very good condition.
