First settled by the Polynesians sailing from other Pacific islands between 300 and 600 AD who called the islands Hawaii. In 1778, British Explorer Captain James Cook visited and called the island group the Sandwich Islands. The map measures 6.5'' x 8.5''. The map framed measures overall 14.5'' x 16''.
